Transportation
It is sometimes more expensive to fly directly to Champaign-Urbana's local airport. Many visitors (particularly international visitors) choose instead to fly into the nearest major international airport, Chicago's O'Hare Airport, and then travel to Champaign-Urbana by a charter bus or by train. The twin cities Urbana and Champaign have many choices for public transportation including an Amtrak station, Greyhound station, and a regional airport (Willard Airport, airport abbreviation: CMI - Champaign). The MTD is an excellent public bus system connecting the campus with the airport and other locations in town.

Lodging
Click here for hotel information for Urbana and for Champaign. Several hotels offer free shuttle from the Champaign airport. We have held a limited number of rooms at the Holiday Inn, (217) 328-7900, for conference participants. These rooms are receiving a discounted University rate of $75 for singles and $85 for doubles. In order to receive this rate you will need the block code, "UCS". The Holiday Inn also provides a free 24 hour shuttle service. Request a shuttle by calling the front desk. We will also provide a shuttle service to and from the Holiday Inn and Historic Lincoln hotels and conference.
