Stick and non-stick phenomena in a two degrees of freedom oscillator on a traveling belt

In this paper, stick and non-stick phenomena and periodic motions in a periodically forced, nonlinear friction oscillators are investigated. The periodic motions with and without stick in such a 2-DOF oscillator are presented. The effects of external excitations and friction forces on the stick and on stick motions are discussed. The displacement, velocity and force responses for stick and non-stick, periodic motions are illustrated for a better understanding of the complex motions in the 2-DOF dry-friction oscillator.
