Presented in this paper is the Social Genetic Search Algorithm (SGSA). SGSA is a new approach to the performance of evolutionary searches by the creation and evolution of artificial social networks. SGSA is a population-based search algorithm similar to Genetic Algorithms. We demonstrate the performance of SGSA in comparison to established algorithms such as Simple Genetic Algorithm and Gender Genetic Algorithm. Given the same amount of generations to evolve, SGSA provides more fit solutions than these algorithms.
